    Description

    ElderCARE is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting homebound older adults in Northern Lake County. We offer medical transportation, grocery shopping assistance, friendly visits, and technology support. Our work is made possible by a passionate team of six staff and a committed network of over 140 volunteers. We are small but mighty—with a culture rooted in compassion, connection, and community impact.

    Operations & Program Management

    • Manage care receiver applications and maintain accurate service records
    • Oversee and maintain ElderCARE’s databases (volunteer, donor, financial, etc.)
    • Track and replenish supply inventory
    • Match volunteers with care receivers in coordination with the team
    • Facilitate recruitment of new care receivers and volunteers
    • Support internal and external communications, including presentations and written materials

    Volunteer Management

    • Coordinate volunteer training sessions
    • Maintain up-to-date volunteer files and compliance records

    Finance & Administration

    • Oversee financial database (QuickBooks)
    • Manage payroll records and support routine audits
    • Prepare occasional grant/funding reports
    • Onboard new staff and interns with HR processes and training

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

    • Experience working in Not-for-profits
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher), QuickBooks
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Passion for serving older adults and making a difference in the community
    • Comfortable making public presentations to community partners, donors, and stakeholders
