    Description

    Studio East, a vibrant youth theatre organization dedicated to nurturing young talent and enriching the community through the performing arts, is seeking a collaborative and entrepreneurial Marketing and Patron Services Associate.

    This position reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager and plays an integral role in executing Studio East’s marketing strategy and providing a warm, friendly patron experience. This is a full-time, hourly position including benefits.

    Key Responsibilities of the Role

    • Partner with internal teams to align on content marketing, social execution, creative development, and promotion messaging.
    • Take primary responsibility for posting on all social media channels.
      • With Marketing Manager, develop a social strategy and calendar
      • Capture, create, and schedule social media content (photo and video) in real time, at both in-person events and on an as-needed basis.
      • Create and post regularly
      • Monitor social media performance across platforms, track performance of posts, and regularly report on key metrics to inform strategy and optimize engagement.
      • Collaborate as needed with external digital marketing partners
      • Document processes surrounding social media content creation and posting cadence.
    • Manage photo and video documentation for productions and education programs
      • Schedule and oversee professional photo/video needs
      • Manage photo and video documentation archives.
    • Manage ticketing and patron services for mainstage productions
      • Build each show in Patron Manager
      • Process ticket purchases and handle any customer requests
      • Oversee house management including scheduling volunteers for each show and occasionally house managing yourself
      • Order concessions supplies as needed
      • Report on ticket sales
    • Support other marketing functions as needed, for example: website updates, copy for newsletters, etc.
      • Must have strong copywriting skills.
      • Provide general communications support as needed, including drafting, editing, reviewing, light video editing, light research, project management, and administrative support.

    Qualifications

    • Professional training and/or formal education in digital marketing, communications, live event management, or hospitality.
    • Experience working for a non-profit arts or education organization is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of all social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms, both as a marketer and as a user.
    • Experience with database management and information system integration (e.g., ticketing/registration platforms).
    • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach.
    • Proactive, positive, and creative approach to problem-solving.
    • Passion for arts education and youth development.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • This is a full-time, hybrid position. While some remote work is possible, significant on-site time will be required to capture marketing content and develop a first-hand understanding of the Studio’s programming.
    • Salary: $42,000-$45,000 a year, depending on experience
    • Benefits:
      • Unlimited PTO, including 2 weeks off during the winter holidays
