    Description

    The Center for Genetics and Society (CGS) is seeking an experienced, collaborative, organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team at 50% time (20 hours per week) as Project and Administrative Coordinator. The responsibilities include both project coordination for our newly launched initiative, Confronting Eugenics to Build a Just Future, and administrative support for CGS’ overall work.

    Confronting Eugenics will convene a network of social justice advocates and scholars, organize a series of internal workshops and public events, and develop a website to share a robust collection of pedagogical and public resources with the goal of challenging the resurgence and normalization of eugenics. Project Coordination responsibilities include carrying out project activities, communicating with participants and partners, monitoring deadlines and deliverables, and working closely with staff and contractors. Administrative Coordination responsibilities include providing professional assistance to the Executive Director in other areas of the organization’s work.
