    Position Overview

    Reporting to the Director of Marketing and collaborating with other departments, the Spektrix Data & Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing our ticketing operations, enhancing data analytics capabilities, and providing actionable insights across the organization. This position will serve as the primary expert for our CRM system, informing strategic decisions related to pricing, audience development, and fundraising, while ensuring data integrity and compliance.

    Founded in 1995, The New Group is an award-winning, artist-driven company with a commitment to developing and producing powerful, contemporary theater. In addition to producing three annual productions, the organization’s New Group/New Works play and musical development program champions original works by emerging and established authors. The New Group also operates a variety of theater education programs that provide opportunities for artistically inclined middle school, high school, and college students.

    Data Analytics and Ticketing Services

    • Spearhead the utilization of the Spektrix CRM interface as the primary point of contact and system expert, maintaining current knowledge on system updates and integrations.
    • Execute data migration to and from outside databases into Spektrix.
    • Strategically manage event building, pricing, and promotional offers for productions, live events, membership and fundraising activities across Spektrix, CrowdEngage and other digital platforms.
    • Collaborate closely with senior management and the Company Manager to evaluate ticket inventory and advise on dynamic pricing and ticketing allotments to third party sales and services.
    • Provide expert oversight and training for all database maintenance including database configuration, data integrity, and transactional processes.
    • Ensure robust PCI Compliance for all card processing systems, maintaining the highest security standards.
    • Partner with the Director of Marketing and Audience Services Supervisor, to seamlessly execute performance cancellations and facilitate communications with audiences.
    • Design regular internal reporting systems, and fulfill ad-hoc data requests related to sales and donation activity, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
    • Infrequently, during peak activity periods, support the Audience Services and Development teams with processing ticket sales, donations, reservations and other critical transactions.
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    Marketing & Development

    • Conduct in-depth sales and audience data analysis and identify trends across multiple revenue sources and initiatives to inform and optimize ticket pricing, discount offers, dynamic pricing strategies, and fundraising initiatives, directly contributing to revenue growth and audience reach.
    • Actively contribute to brainstorming and planning sessions for ongoing audience cultivation and fundraising initiatives, leveraging data insights to identify new opportunities.
    • Strategically manage inventory with third party vendors (e.g., TodayTix, TDF) and distribution channels, meticulously tracking ticket inventory and providing insightful reports.
    • Lead audience and donor list segmentation, execute precise list pulls, and perform rigorous data clean-ups to optimize fundraising campaigns and improve donor targeting.

    Finance

    • Support reconciliations of sales and donation revenue, providing accurate reporting and investigating discrepancies to ensure financial integrity.
    • Contribute to periodic budgeting and budget reporting by providing accurate and, when requested, bespoke reports and data analysis.
    • Uphold and enhance internal security protocols across all ticketing and data systems.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • Success with data system management, including data entry, analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly become proficient with a CRM database and to use the system to manage data related to revenue and individuals.
    • Demonstrated interest in business and data analysis, which could include coursework, personal projects, or relevant volunteer experience, and the drive to use data in storytelling to solve complex problems and inform strategic decisions.
    • A demonstrated ability to own and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, negotiating priorities with various stakeholders to meet deadlines.
    • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate complex information to different teams, including senior management.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort with technical troubleshooting, particularly with CRM and ticketing platforms.
    • Current familiarity with, or strong interest in learning ticketing and theater box office functions. Experience with ticket inventory management and supporting day-to-day operations is a plus.

    This is a full-time exempt position available immediately, with a salary range of $66,300-$75,000. Current benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 403b retirement, and commuter benefit plans. The New Group operates as a hybrid remote and in-person workplace, typically reporting to the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some weekend and evening availability may be required from time to time.
