    Description

    Center for Hope and Safety, located in Bergen County NJ, is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence and their children. We believe every person has the right to be safe, empowered and free from violence.

    In this role, you'll coordinate the organization’s communications program and assist with other tasks as needed. This is a hybrid role working up to 19 hours per week requiring on-site attendance in Rochelle Park, NJ.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with Chief Development and Communications Officer to coordinate a cohesive communications program and calendar, including email blasts and social media.
    • Update and maintain the organization’s website.
    • Create flyers, short video content, event materials (poster boards, registration sheets, etc.) and other promotional materials, utilizing Canva.
    • Coordinate special projects as needed.

    Requirements

    • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
    • Excellent written communications skills required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Familiarity with Constant Contact or another email-marketing program preferred. Experience with WordPress and Little Green Light a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Must attend weekly staff meeting in Rochelle Park and work during normal business hours.
    • Must be able to work events outside of normal business hours, currently four times per year.
