The Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights (NMCIR) educates, defends, and protects the rights of immigrants. As the longest-serving organization providing immigration-related services in Northern Manhattan and the Bronx, we offer culturally competent legal services, a vibrant Workers Center, and adult literacy classes that directly support our immigrant communities.
In addition to direct services, we advocate for systemic change through policy work and community organizing. Our mission is grounded in a healing-centered, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safe and supportive interactions to foster resilience, dignity, and trust.
Position Summary
NMCIR seeks a part-time Development Manager to help balance and grow our nonprofit funding portfolio. This role works closely with the Executive Director and is supported by NMCIR’s Board Development Committee. The Development Manager will focus on grants, appeals, events, and individual donors to build a more diversified and sustainable funding base.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who is strategic, organized, and mission-driven, with a clear understanding of how relationship-building and storytelling advance immigrant rights.
