    ABOUT LIFEMOVES

    LifeMoves is the largest and most effective provider of interim housing and services for homelessness in Silicon Valley since 1987. Our mission is to end homelessness by providing interim supportive housing, tailored services, and building collaborative partnerships. With over two dozen interim supportive housing communities and more on the way, LifeMoves gives our neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home while providing intensive, customized case management through site-based programs and community outreach.

    POSITION PURPOSE

    LifeMoves is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and collaborative Annual Fund Manager to grow and engage a broad base of supporters through direct mail, email, and digital fundraising efforts. This role focuses on executing multi-channel campaigns that generate annual revenue and deepen donor engagement and retention—working closely with the Vice President of Philanthropy, Senior Donor Communications Manager, Development Operations team, and our agency partners to ensure timely, high-quality, and coordinated efforts.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Fundraising Strategy & Execution

    • Coordinate all annual giving campaigns from end to end, managing multi-channel appeals—including direct mail, email, and digital—in partnership with our agency of record. Oversee timelines, creative development, and production, while collaborating with Development Operations to ensure accurate segmentation, personalization, and donor acknowledgment.
    • Support the growth and administration of the KeyGiver monthly giving program by helping to build a strong donor community and meaningful engagement experiences, while ensuring timely follow-up on issues such as payment declines and cancellations.
    • Set up internal campaign infrastructure including source codes, QR codes, custom URLs, and other tracking elements and support the build and deployment of email appeals.

    Donor Strategy & Communication

    • Coordinate with the Senior Donor Communications Manager to align fundraising and editorial calendars, ensuring timely, mission-aligned donor communications and personalized cultivation efforts—including impact updates, milestone recognition, and outreach that enhances the donor experience.
    • Write and support the execution of donor-facing emails solo or in partnership with LifeMoves agencies, ensuring messaging is engaging, personalized, and aligned with campaign goals and donor journeys.
    • Create, maintain, and collaborate on optimizing donor journeys in partnership with Marketing for key segments such as first-time donors, monthly donors, and returning donors, with the goal of increasing engagement and lifetime value.
    • Assist in sourcing compelling client and program stories by collaborating with Program staff and Marketing to highlight impact in donor communications and fundraising materials.
    • Partner with the Impact Circle team to identify and cultivate annual fund donors with potential for increased giving, focusing on upgrade prospects who may be ready to deepen their commitment.
    • Collaborate with the Events and Engagement team to develop and support strategies that convert volunteers and in-kind donors into financial contributors.

    Donor Support & Program Management

    • Monitor and respond to donor inquiries received via email or phone, ensuring timely, accurate, and thoughtful communication that reflects LifeMoves values and commitment to donor care.
    • Oversee the matching gift program, ensuring timely submission and processing while tracking revenue, promoting participation, and identifying opportunities to grow this funding stream.
    • Provide event-related support as needed to help advance donor engagement and retention, in collaboration with a range of internal teams and external partners.

    Data & Reporting

    • Analyze campaign and donor performance across all donor segments to refine targeting and retention strategies. Deliver clear, actionable reports and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
    • Maintain oversight of budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and financial performance for the annual fund program—ensuring all campaigns are executed on time and within budget.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or communications, with a focus on individual giving.
    • Demonstrated experience with digital fundraising—search, ads, email, web, and social—to acquire supporters and secure renewed or increased giving as well as a working knowledge of direct mail fundraising
    • Strong project management skills and experience leading multi-channel appeal production in collaboration with vendors or agency partners.
    • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a keen understanding of donor motivation and nonprofit messaging.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
    • Comfort working with donor databases (Salesforce preferred), email marketing tools, and analytics dashboards.
    • Ability to interpret donor data and apply insights to inform segmentation, targeting, and retention strategies.
    • Customer service mindset and ability to communicate with empathy and clarity across channels.
    • Passion for the mission of LifeMoves and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered engagement.
    • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events or deadlines.
