    Description

Since 2014, Everglades Angels Dog Rescue (EADR), an all volunteer organization, has rescued over 900 dogs & cats in South Florida, many with challenging special needs that other rescue organizations consider “unadoptable.” In Jan 2022 EADR was able to fulfil a dream and purchase a building (Angels Haven) where our dogs are housed and better socialized. In the past dogs were placed at boarding kennels at the Summit or Seiler Animal hospitals.

Funding pays for medical expenses (MRI’s, spinal taps, x-rays, etc.), ongoing operational expenses (food, toys, etc.) and improvements to the shelter building. When dogs are rescued, they often have broken bones, damaged limbs, lodged bullets and other signs of torture and cruelty. Rescued Dogs are immediately transported to partner veterinarian offices where services are provided at a generous discount. EADR is known as a place of last hope for dogs facing certain death. We are often called in if treatment or rehabilitation is deemed unaffordable by good Samaritans or smaller rescue operations. EADR medically treats, socializes and repairs what is broken, both physically and emotionally in each dog, helping them to become the best companion.
