Planet Reimagined is seeking a Digital Media Lead to grow and manage the organization’s digital presence. This role will play a central part in amplifying Planet Reimagined’s mission by overseeing social media channels, producing content, maintaining the website, monitoring digital engagement, producing a monthly newsletter, and supporting staff and fellows in sharing their work through digital platforms.
Work: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

About the Role
Join a team of creative problem-solvers dedicated to advancing global climate solutions! The Digital Media Lead will proactively plan, create, and publish high-quality content across digital platforms to expand Planet Reimagined’s reach and impact. Working closely with staff, fellows, and external collaborators, this role ensures that all communications reflect organizational goals and respond to the rapidly changing climate conversation.
Responsibilities will include:
Social Media Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement a content strategy to grow Planet Reimagined’s presence on Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Draft, design, and publish engaging posts aligned with organizational priorities and the broader climate conversation.
- Monitor real-time climate and policy news, ensuring timely responses and integration into messaging.
- Track performance metrics, analyze trends, and recommend adjustments to improve engagement and impact.
Website Management & Digital Presence
- Maintain and regularly update the Planet Reimagined website with accurate, compelling content.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance site design, functionality, and accessibility.
- Ensure that web content effectively communicates organizational initiatives and news.
Newsletter Development
- Write, design, and distribute a monthly digital newsletter.
- Curate content highlighting organizational activities, climate news, and engagement opportunities.
- Track open rates, click-throughs, and audience feedback to optimize performance.
Staff and Fellows Support
- Collaborate with staff and fellows to create media content, including videos, highlighting their work.
- Provide guidance on video storytelling, production, and distribution.
- Lead or coordinate workshops for staff and fellows on social media best practices.
Research & Trend Monitoring
- Stay informed about digital communications trends and climate-related digital storytelling.
- Share insights and recommendations to strengthen strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven excellence in digital communications and social media management.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills adaptable for different platforms.
- Proficiency with social media tools and analytics platforms.
- Experience with website management (Squarespace or similar CMS).
- Graphic design/multimedia skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) a plus.
- Experience in video creation and editing for social media.
- Knowledge of climate issues, sustainability, and advocacy preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience facilitating trainings or workshops a plus.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
