    Description

    Real Food Challenge (RFC) harnesses the power of youth and universities to create an equitable and sustainable food system. After winning dozens of campaigns nationally over the last decade that have resulted in $80 million committed to our definition of “Real Food” we have proven that student organizing can drive substantial change in the food chain across the country. We are rebuilding our organization after a time of significant internal restructuring and are seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to bottomline regular communications tasks.

    The Communications Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the organization's communications strategy. This position will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of various communication initiatives including:

    • Crafting RFC’s monthly newsletter & maintaining newsletter archive
    • Soliciting and cross-posting social media content from students for campus-specific events
    • Designing & posting RFC general and evergreen social media content on an as-request basis
    • Generally managing RFC’s communications calendar
    • Updating website content (no coding required)
    • Meeting monthly with RFC Directors to co-craft RFC’s communications plan
