    Chief Financial Officer:

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Greater Jamaica Development Corporation (GJDC) serves as a strategic financial leader, responsible for directing all fiscal functions of the organization. This executive role ensures sound financial planning, rigorous internal controls, and full compliance with regulatory and funding requirements. The CFO will oversee treasury, budgeting, accounting, audits, and tax functions while maintaining key external relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and government entities. This individual will also play a critical role in supporting executive decision-making through accurate financial reporting, strategic insight, and operational stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise, proven leadership, and a commitment to the economic advancement of Southeast Queens.

    Job Description:

      • Directs the overall financial plans and accounting practices
      • Oversees treasury, accounting, budget, tax and audit activities
      • Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, financial advisors, etc.
      • Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards
      • Oversees compliance with, and reporting on, covenants with financial institutions as required by various lines of credit, mortgages and bonds
      • Provide transactional support to Executive Management and Senior Staff
      • Review transaction (closing) documents and ensure appropriate accounting of related activities
      • Ensures timely financial and other required reporting, for use by management, the Board, and government agencies including:
      • Quarterly and annual financial statements
      • Annual A-133 report
      • Forms 990 and other tax-related filings
      • Weekly dashboard report
      • Government grant reporting and compliance
      • Responsible for implementation of and adherence to the Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual, and recommendations to the Audit Committee for appropriate revisions
      • Responsible for periodic compliance, maintenance, and filing of required government reporting, including but not limited to:
      • Lobbying activities (when actively lobbying)
      • NYC PASSPort (formerly Vendex and HHS Accelerator)
      • NYS SFS (formerly Grants Gateway)
      • Monitor Pension compliance, including annual Form 5500 preparation and filing
      • Maintain relationships with Registered Investment Advisors and Recordkeepers
      • Responsible for search, recommendation and implementation of selected Accounting Software Package, and other software that interface with it
      • Other responsibilities as directed or requested

    • Chief Executive Officer and President

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related subject

    Certified Public Accountant or equivalent

    Minimum 15 years relevant and progressive work experience

    Salary Range $170K - $190K
