    Description

    Windrush Farm is looking for a part-time volunteer coordinator!

    Come join our team of caring and dedicated people. We are committed to helping our clients be the best they can be and to the care of the wonderful horses who help us do that. Focus on keeping volunteers happy and wanting to come back. Most importantly, you need to be friendly and welcoming to volunteers, clients, their families, and caregivers!

    Duties include:

    • Scheduling volunteers for classes and events
    • Outreach to continuously recruit new volunteers (local schools, PTA’s, Council for Aging, etc.)
    • Problem solving with volunteers and instructors for any issues that may arise
    • Weekly training sessions for new volunteers
    • Working in classes as a side walker or horse handler if we are short on volunteers
    • Answering phones, data entry, and helping plan volunteer appreciation events and gifts

    We are looking for someone who is:

    • Good at multi-tasking and problem-solving
    • Friendly and well spoken, can work with a variety of personalities
    • Proficient at Microsoft Office, and comfortable on the computer
    • High school diploma
    • Able to walk and jog next to a horse for about an hour

    Typically, hours are 1pm to 5pm or 6pm if working in the last class of the day, for an average of 20 hours per week.
