    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Act as gatekeeper for the Lenfest Center and intake coordinator for both workforce development and opportunity youth, connecting all available North10 Philadelphia resources. The Neighborhood Impact Services Coordinator will develop, implement, and coordinate programs and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life within the Hunting Park-East Tioga neighborhood. This role will act as a liaison between residents, community groups, local government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify community needs, address concerns, and implement solutions.

    • Greet and direct visitors by welcoming individuals, assist with inquiries, and guide them to appropriate staff or areas within the center.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing communication by handling telephone calls, emails, and correspondence, providing information, and directing messages accurately.
    • Assist with signing up for classes, programs, and events.
    • Provide program and facility information, stay informed about available programs and services to answer questions and promote participation.
    • Maintain the front desk area, keep the reception area clean and organized, managing supplies, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
    • Assess needs (e.g., housing, health, employment, education, etc.) and connect individuals with appropriate resources and services within the community.
    • Develop and coordinate supportive service programs and activities (e.g., workshops, events, community-building initiatives) in collaboration with community members, staff, and local service providers.
    • Build strong relationships with residents, neighborhood groups, community leaders, and service providers to foster civic engagement and address community concerns.
    • Attend resource events and job fairs to develop and enhance community relationships
    • Act as a liaison and advocate for residents with various agencies (e.g., government, social service, employment) to facilitate access to resources and ensure their rights are recognized and respected.
    • Identify and build relationships with community organizations and resources (e.g., schools, health clinics, mental health resources, employment centers, etc.) to enhance service delivery and promote community well-being.
    • Maintain accurate records of resident assessments, referrals, program participation, and outcomes, as well as preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders
    • Create a clean database for tracking intent and impact.
    • Work with the Impact Center partners under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Neighborhood Impact Services.
    • May be required to undertake other tasks and initiatives to support team and organizational goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
    • Prior experience in social service delivery, community outreach, and/or working with diverse populations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse individuals and groups
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records
    • Ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and make sound decisions
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications
    • Ability to understand and respect cultural differences in planning and implementing programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
    • Knowledge of workforce development principles and practices
    • Experience in program development and implementation
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
    • Fluent in English and Spanish, required
