    Description

    The Fairfield Museum is seeking a Development Associate, responsible for administering Museum’s fundraising operations, including data management in our Neon One database, donor communications, and special event management.     Position Responsibilities

    Development Administration:

    • Responsible for processing all donor contributions and drafting correspondence in a timely manner, ensuring financial reporting and reconciliation, and maintaining accurate donor records.
    • Maintain CRM database Neon One, update records, enter gifts and memberships.
    • Manage production and mailing of fundraising appeals, membership renewals, and program announcements.
    • Manage online donations and montly membership renewals. Coordinate with website manager to ensure operation of online giving portal.
    • Work with bookkeeper to reconcile donations.
    • Generate reports that analyze giving trends and donor communication.
    • Assist with organizedonor stewardship and recognition events, as well as other special events that support the Museum’s fundraising.

    Executive Assistance

    • Support the ExecutiveDirector in the preparation of fundraising materials and reports.
    • Coordinate meetingschedules for Board and Executive Director.
    • Prepare minutes for Board and committee meetings.

    Job Requirements:

    • College degree required as well as 2-3 years experience in non-profit fundraising or managing a small business office.
    • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, mail merge, and Google Suite.
    • Experience with donor CRM databases, preferably Neon One or similar, or a demonstrated ability to learn to new technologies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a good-humored, energetic, enthusiastic, and team-focused attitude.
    • Excellent task and project management skills; ability to prioritize work and keep track of multiple competing demands in a dynamic work environment.

    Compensation and Benefits

    This is a temporary, part-time position, working 21/hours week onsite at Fairfield Museum on a flexible work schedule. Position ends June 26th, 2026 but may be extended. Starting compensation is $30/hour with paid vacation and sick days.
