    We are looking for a Development & Partnerships Coordinator to join our growing organization. This in-person position helps us build new relationships, designs compelling content and events, and coordinates administration related to our fundraising and partnership activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, and energetic team member who is excited about working in an education nonprofit and building relationships with the community. This position reports directly to the CEO and involves a high degree of collaboration to achieve these outcomes:

    • Help us build a strong donor base by conducting campaigns, events, and research
    • Communicate the story of our impact by designing and distributing overview reports and materials, including our Annual Report
    • Support us in submitting grants in a timely manner by assisting with grant administration
    • Assist us in securing new partnerships and earned revenue by drafting materials, researching potential leads
    • Support grant and partner administration, invoicing, and reporting

    Core Responsibilities

    • Development:
      • Coordinate our Annual Appeal campaign and process;
      • Collaborate on the design and language of our Annual Report;
      • Support donor prospecting process;
      • Collaborate with the team on fundraising campaigns and events to build community;
      • Assist the CEO with grant submissions, writing, and administration;
    • Partnerships:
      • Create compelling overview documents and decks to illustrate our impact to potential partners and funders;
      • Support community relations, including helping work with our volunteers on development-related efforts;
      • Participate in select tabling opportunities to do partner outreach;
      • Collaborate with the CEO to build a strong partner pipeline by helping design and submit clear and compelling proposals;
      • Research partnership leads and track partner follow up;
    • Administration:
      • Participate in team community-building, meetings, and discussions;
      • Maintain partnership tracking updates through project management software;
      • Collaborate with bookkeeper on invoice and donation updates;
      • Send and follow up on invoices;
      • Support donor record-keeping and acknowledgement;
      • Track grant proposals and report timelines.

    • Excellent interpersonal, project management, and collaboration skills;
    • Highly creative and able to translate concepts into clear and compelling visuals;
    • Ultra-organized and reliable with hyper-attention to detail and accuracy;
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
    • Energetic, curious, resourceful, and eager to learn and grow;
    • Empathy for the struggle with public speaking, especially as an underrepresented voice;
    • Passion for working in non-profit organizations, especially in underserved communities;
    • Understands that cultivating partnerships and working in development is deeply relational work and is excited about engaging with community;
    • Deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism; and
    • Professional, friendly, calm, and trustworthy teammate with humility and integrity.

    Experience and Interests:

    • 1-2 years experience in communications, graphic design, or related fields;
    • 1-2 years of experience in administrative assistance;
    • 1-2 years of experience in development or grant and fundraising support;
    • Evidence of strong writing, editing, and oral communication skills;
    • Preferred but not required: Spanish language fluency
    • Preferred but not required: Proficiency with Canva
    • Preferred but not required: Proficiency with Salesforce
