    Description

We are seeking a dynamic Community Coalition and Partnership Coordinator to facilitate the work of Chinatown360°, a community-driven prevention coalition dedicated to the health and wellbeing of Asian American and immigrant youth. The coalition builds awareness, strengthens local capacity, and mobilizes collective action to prevent youth substance misuse by addressing the conditions that place young people at risk and supporting protective factors within the community.

This position is ideal for someone who excels at network-weaving, culturally responsive outreach, and a commitment to prevention as a pathway to equity and collective wellbeing.

    Responsibilities:

    Partnership Building & Cross-Sector Collaboration

      • Cultivate and sustain a diverse coalition base with representation from multiples sectors (e.g., youth, schools, law enforcement, businesses, media, faith-based institutions, etc.).
      • Facilitate regular coalition meetings, working groups, and planning sessions that center shared learning and community voice.
      • Strengthen relationships and engagement across sectors through inclusive, community-informed and language-accessible outreach.
      • Foster collaborative action and shared accountability across sectors toward neighborhood-level prevention goals.

    Program Implementation

      • Guide the coalition in reviewing and updating its strategic plan, logic model, and sustainability roadmap based on local data and lived experiences.
      • Coordinate the implementation of culturally relevant, community-informed prevention strategies, especially environmental change approaches.
      • Collaborate with consultants and partners to execute coalition strategies effectively.

    Local Capacity Building & Awareness

      • Lead the design and rollout of community education and outreach efforts that reflect the language, values, and lived realities of Asian American/immigrant communities.
      • Develop and disseminate prevention messages using in-language materials, ethnic and local media, and trusted community platforms.
      • Represent Chinatown360° at community forums, stakeholder convenings, neighborhood events, and collaborative spaces to build visibility and increase engagement.

    Grant Compliance & Program Coordination

      • Ensure all activities are aligned with the coalition’s workplan, deliverables, and reporting timelines.
      • Maintain clear and timely communication with funder and technical assistance provider.
      • Support coordination with data specialists and consultants to ensure accurate tracking, analysis, and use of local data to guide coalition priorities.

    Qualifications:

      • Strong background in community organizing, prevention, behavioral health, public health, or youth development.
      • Experience building partnerships across diverse sectors and cultural communities.
      • Demonstrated experience engaging NYC’s Asian American and immigrant communities in culturally responsive ways.
      • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and collaborating across teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
      • Bilingual in Chinese preferred.
