JCCGCI, Inc. is a community-based organization with a citywide impact, providing supportive human and social services that benefit all segments of the population. Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals and volunteers united by a drive to provide substantive relief to individuals and families in need, and affect real change in communities throughout New York City.

We are currently seeking a motivated, passionate and experienced fundraising professional to fill our Director of Development role. The Director of Development will work initially with our Holocaust Survivor Support Services team, with the potential of growing into an organization-wide fundraising leadership role. JCCGCI does its utmost to enable Holocaust survivors to continue to maintain their independence as long as possible and with dignity. While these vulnerable, frail, low-income Nazi-victims are eligible for programs specific to Holocaust survivors, we also avail them of our general senior services to meet their unique needs.

The Director of Development will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Conducting Prospect Research to identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as corporate and foundation prospects.
    • Making direct solicitation calls to potential donors.
    • Performing in person solicitations.
    • Developing and implementing strategies for donor retention, recognition, and stewardship.
    • Managing Donor and Prospect portfolios.
    • Planning and executing special events that engage donors and raise funds for the organization.
    • Collaborating with the Communications team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials.
    • Introducing and maintaining upgraded donor management system.
    • Monitoring and analyzing fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.

    Candidate Qualifications:

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write compelling donor communications and marketing materials.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing a team of fundraising professionals.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
    • Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.
    • A deep commitment to the mission and values of our organization.
