One Family’s philosophy is that education and career success are the foundations of lasting housing stability. Massachusetts residents face some of the highest living costs in the country, leading to some of the highest rates of family homelessness. We know that families need stable income to afford stable housing. One Family offers direct service programs aimed at breaking down barriers to higher education and family-sustaining career paths, enabling families at risk of or experiencing homelessness to achieve financial independence and afford safe housing. The organization pairs this work with public policy advocacy, working to prevent family homelessness on both an individual and systemic level.
