This is a hands-on, front-line leadership role that blends project management, volunteer coordination and financial control, whilst working in an intercultural context with Peruvians & volunteers from around the world. It's ideal for someone passionate about grassroots empowerment, education, and long-term community partnerships.

    • Oversee volunteer onboarding, wellbeing, and the Volunteer House.
    • Liaise with Peruvian authorities (e.g., APCI, SUNAT) and ensure compliance with legal and reporting requirements.
    • Maintain accurate financial records; deliver quarterly reports to UK-based Trustees.
    • Coordinate internal systems, cloud storage, and website content.

    Marketing and/or Fundraising

Exact responsibilities dependent upon skills and experience

    • Oversee marketing and communications strategy and delivery of operations, including social media.
    • Lead fundraising efforts, write grant proposals, and manage donor relations and support planning of community-based fundraising events.

    Ideal Candidate

    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, or related field.
    • Fluent in English and Spanish (ideally C1–C2 level).
    • Proven experience in project and people management and team leadership.
    • Strong digital skills (especially Google Suite, including Sheets or Excel); ability to manage administrative systems.
    • Cultural sensitivity and experience working in international, grassroots, or volunteer settings.

    Ethical & Cultural Fit

    • Deep respect for Indigenous knowledge and cultural diversity.
    • Awareness of historical & political legacies and commitment to ethical development.
    • Willingness to learn from local communities and non-Western world-views.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends in a collaborative, resource-limited environment.
    • Ability to build trust-based relationships with local communities, elders, and traditional leaders.
    • Support cultural revitalisation, intergenerational dialogue, and Indigenous world-views (cosmovisions).
