The Calyx Institute is seeking applications for an energetic, thoughtful, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Grants Manager. The Grants Manager will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Calyx’s grantmaking programs and compliance. This role will include managing all aspects of the Sepal Fund, a pilot phase, three-year, cohort model of grant recipients, as well as other grant programs under development. This role involves supporting the Sepal Fund’s grant recipient community of practice, undertaking the administrative tasks related to the group’s professional development and ongoing grant deliverables, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with the philanthropic community for future program development. The Grants Manager will report to the Operations Director, and work collaboratively across multiple departments and constituents, demonstrating a deep understanding of the needs of grantees and other stakeholders and ensuring that those perspectives are incorporated in the grantmaking process. Ideal candidates will have experience with philanthropy and/or nonprofit administration, community development, program design and management, and/or human resources.

This is a full-time (four-day work week), salaried, exempt, hybrid position located in New York and requiring partial in-person work at Calyx’s office in Brooklyn, NY. The salary for this role is $85,000-$90,000; salary commensurate with experience. Calyx offers health, vision, and dental insurance, HRA and FSA options, unlimited paid time off, and 401k retirement plan options with up to 10% employer matching contribution. This position is included in a union-represented collective bargaining unit (CWA Local 1101), and specific employment terms and conditions are subject to collective bargaining.
