    Position Summary:

    We’re looking for an experienced, confident Director of Development to define and coordinate MTBC’s fundraising efforts and donor communications. This will be a full-time, hybrid position based in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in donor relationship development, CRM management, grant writing, and capital campaign management. Candidates with strong, existing relationships with Texas and/or conservation focused foundations and corporations are strongly encouraged to apply. Occasional travel may be required.

    Background & Qualifications:

    • 3-5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience is required
    • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Meticulous attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and unimpeachable integrity
    • Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts and implementing new fundraising efforts
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work amid competing priorities
    • Experience with donor CRM (Kindful), Mailchimp campaigns, and Google Ad grant spending is preferred

    Sample Responsibilities:

    • Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and funders
    • Support the Executive Director in Major Gift solicitations
    • Draft, proofread, and edit donor communications, including on behalf of Executive Director; coordinate regular communications to donors of all levels
    • Prepare materials for donor outreach, grant writing, and capital campaigns with MTBC staff
    • Ensure accuracy of donor CRM data
    • Develop fundraising strategy for Education Center project, including capital campaign
    • Work with Communications Coordinator to improve social media and advertising efficacy
    • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including tracking deliverables, financial reports, and timelines

    Salary: $75-85,000/year
