The LoveYourBrain Foundation is a US-based nonprofit that improves the mental, physical, and social well-being of people affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI). Since 2014, we’ve been pioneering the use of mindfulness, yoga, psychoeducation, nutrition, and community-building programs for healing, advancing the science behind our holistic approach in clinical and community-based settings, and re-imagining how people can actively participate in their healing. We also conduct extensive outreach with clinical, advocacy, and community-based stakeholders to raise awareness about the benefits of mindfulness and social connection for brain injury. This is an exciting time for our organization--we’ve recently reached our 10-year anniversary, refined our strategic vision, and our Executive Director was recently recognized as a Top Ten CNN Hero (see video segment here).
The Communications and Social Media Manager works closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to execute our communications and marketing strategy. A majority of their time will be spent spearheading content creation and campaign management, followed by strategic analysis around UX/UI, audience engagement, messaging, and continuous improvement across systems. The role will be essential to elevating our voice, expanding our reach, and telling the powerful stories that fuel our mission. This role must have demonstrated expertise in digital marketing (email, social media (accounts 35k+), Ads), content creation (photos, videos, copywriting), and website management. You’ll work dynamically across LYB’s departments and interact with multiple audiences—from program participants and donors to partners—to ensure consistent, mission-aligned communication across platforms. This candidate must have strong writing skills, be exceptionally organized, and have a creative flair for storytelling. The candidate should be deeply passionate about improving well-being among people affected by brain injury.
LoveYourBrain recognizes that traumatic brain injury (TBI), caregiving, and the systems we work within—particularly healthcare, yoga, and wellness—often fail to adequately serve the most marginalized in our society. These systems have historically excluded or underserved BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, women, non-binary people, people with disabilities, and others with intersecting marginalized identities. We seek to shift this narrative and believe these communities must be centered in the work we do. Therefore, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities. If you share LoveYourBrain’s values of being real, compassionate, inclusive, fun, and curious, we’d love to speak with you. The LYB community believes in respect for all people and the planet. We embrace and strive for a community that values differences and prioritizes equity. Regardless of how you identify, or how the world sees you, please feel welcome to apply and join our community.
