    About The Cultural Engagement Lab (CEL)

    CEL is our 501(c)(4) organization that organizes a powerful network of seasoned artists and

    culture makers from impacted communities to lend their storytelling talents to meaningful

    advocacy, electoral, and civic engagement efforts. You can visit CEL’s website to learn more

    Position Overview:

    We are looking for a high-functioning, detail-oriented person to support our Operations (Ops) team as we continue to grow and streamline organizational systems. In addition to supporting the day-to-day operations of the Ops team, this person will serve as Cultural Power’s Salesforce lead, and provide administrative oversight for compliance and IT systems. This role is key to maintaining operational excellence, ensuring data integrity and access, and supporting integration and coordination of operational systems across all teams and entities of the organization.

    Employment Status: Full-time (40 hours per week) Contract Employee, August thru December 2025 with potential to convert to Full-time Permanent Employee in 2026.

    Reports to: Director of Operations

    Responsibilities:

    Operations, Compliance & IT Support

    • Serve as secondary administrative account holder for organizational systems (Google Workspace, Slack, Box). Facilitate staff access, manage licenses, and track usage.
    • Assist in troubleshooting IT issues with staff and escalate or bring in IT & Digital Security consultants as needed.
    • Serve as secondary liaison with external IT vendors; support vendor oversight, tracking, and documentation.
    • Partner with the Director of Operations to implement and maintain organizational compliance protocols, including: organizational policies, data privacy, cyber security, annual filings, and insurance renewals.
    • Assist in implementation and monitoring of new phone and cyber security systems.
    • Coordinate technology equipment deployment and retrieval for staff (e.g., laptops, peripherals, etc); track assets and maintain inventory records.
    • Partner with the Director of Operations to create and maintain documentation of SOPs for systems access, data sharing, and compliance workflows.
    • Ensure organizational adherence to internal compliance calendars and reporting timelines.
    • Submit invoices for payment for vendors and contractors.
    • Support logistics and planning for special projects (virtual celebrations, retreats, etc.) in partnership with People and Culture dept.
    • Partner with the People and Culture dept on planning and executing our annual staff retreat(s).
    • Support contract drafting and oversight in partnership with Director of Operations.
    • Provide general operations and administrative support to the Ops dept.

    Salesforce Database Management

    • Act as the Salesforce project manager/lead for the entire organization—coordinating and project managing cross-functionally across all teams.
    • Partner with the COO to set overall vision and annual strategy for Salesforce.
    • Serve as the primary liaison with Salesforce developers to guide database improvements.
    • Facilitate and coordinate regular Salesforce meetings with Leads from each team.
    • Oversee project to backfill and maintain critical artist and partner data in the system.
    • Develop and lead regular staff trainings to promote skill development and systems fluency.
    • Create and maintain accountability systems for clean, up-to-date data entry across teams.
    • Lead database innovation and enhancements in collaboration with team leads and vendors.

    Qualifications:

    • High level of cultural fluency and equity, with experience working with diverse communities.
    • Experience managing or supporting compliance processes, internal controls, or organizational policy implementation.
    • Strong IT troubleshooting skills and comfort working across platforms, systems, and vendors. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems.
    • Solutions-oriented approach with strong follow-through and a commitment to collaboration.
    • Ability to work independently, drive projects to completion, and communicate across teams.
    • Excellent attention to detail, with a track record of managing data and documentation effectively.
    • Strong experience managing and administering Salesforce as an organizational database across multiple departments, ideally in a nonprofit or social impact setting.
    • Strong project management skills; comfort managing timelines and stakeholders across departments.
    • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
