    Description

    Position Summary

    The Donor Relations Officer supports the mission of P2P by building meaningful relationships with mid-level donors and corporate partners to strengthen P2P’s fundraising effort.

    Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, this position focuses on stewarding and growing a robust portfolio of donors, while also supporting community-based fundraising initiatives, events, and corporate engagement opportunities. This position is part of the Development Team, and works cross-organization with Programs, Volunteer, and Communications to ensure consistency and fluidity in donor and partner experiences. The ideal candidate will be energized by connecting people to purpose and motivated by tangible outcomes.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    Donor Engagement, Stewardship & Program Execution

    • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors, including stewardship, cultivation, and reactivation efforts
    • With the support of the Board of Directors’ Opus Liaison, support the fundraising and awareness activities of Opus 4 P2P, a membership-based woman’s philanthropy group
    • Identify donor prospects through giving trends, event participation, internal referrals, and other engagement data
    • Work with the CPO to develop and implement personalized donor stewardship strategies, including impact communications, recognition and appreciation touchpoints, and more
    • Collaborate with P2P staff to craft proposals, donor collateral, and stewardship materials that match the objectives and interests of prospective donors
    • Track donor activity and progress towards goals

    Corporate Engagement & Community Initiatives

    • Support the cultivation and stewardship of corporate partners through employee engagement, event sponsorship , and cause marketing opportunities
    • Coordinate with marketing, program and volunteer staff to manage corporate, engagement activities, and recognition
    • Support and develop cause marketing campaigns and co-branded fundraising opportunities
    • Assist in developing co-branded campaigns and activation strategies that align with P2P’s mission and visibility goals
    • Participate in networking activities and events externally, to cultivate new leads and build meaningful relationships with key external contacts

    Event Participation & Support

    • Play an active role in planning and executing all Development-led events, including fundraising events, cultivation opportunities, appreciation gatherings, and donor tours
    • Support logistics, communications, and donor engagement strategies for each event in collaboration with the Chief Philanthropy Officer and broader Development Team
    • Work closely with the Chief Services & Community Relations Officer and Volunteer Manager around other events that may be planned through their efforts in the community. Together, create the process for seeking out and executing all events in this space

    Skills & Requirements

    • Passion for community service, social justice and P2P’s mission
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in donor relations, development, or external-facing nonprofit work
    • Outstanding project and time management skills with the ability to drive multiple, complex projects forward
    • Excellent people skills. Warm, honest, sense of humor and ability to work to work cooperatively with a diverse team
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce preferred.Experience with Pardot or similar email marketing platform a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail a must
    • Occasional evening/weekend availability required for events
