    Job Title: Partnership Coordinator

    Full Time, 12-Month, Role Level 2

    Reports To: Sr. Director of Workforce Programming and Deputy School Leader

    Who We Are:

    YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School is a tuition-free, public charter high school, with a singular focus on supporting youth aged 17-20 who have been pushed out of traditional schools. During our 1-year alternative program, YouthBuild facilitates a warm, loving culture that uses a variety of structures to build community, such as a restorative-justice approach to discipline, weekly community meetings, and school-wide service projects. Students are empowered to attain their high school diploma and vocational certifications, while receiving unconditional support by the staff around them.     The Opportunity:

    The Partnership Coordinator plays a key role in cultivating and sustaining strategic relationships that enhance student programming, internships, and placement opportunities. As the initial point of contact for new partnerships, the Coordinator ensures alignment with organizational goals while collaborating with staff to convert ideas and leads into formalized agreements for leadership approval. This role oversees the management of partnership systems, tracks engagement, and leads regular meetings to assess and expand partnerships. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for establishing and onboarding new internship sites, maintaining strong communication with external partners, and collecting feedback from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

    • 2-3 years of previous development, non profit or educational experience, preferred but not required.
    • Proven ability to work independently on complex tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of individuals.

    What You’ll Do:

    You will…

    • Serve as the initial point of contact for new programming, internship, and placement partnership opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Coordinate with staff to develop potential leads into active partnerships, including drafting MOUs and preparing documents for Leadership Team approval.
    • Manage and maintain partnership tracking systems (e.g., CRM, partnership matrix) to ensure accurate records and strategic follow-up.
    • Collaborate with Postsecondary Coordinator and Vocational Instructors to match students with appropriate internship and work-based learning sites.
    • Act as the primary contact for establishing and onboarding new internship partnership sites, including logistics, communication, and documentation.
    • Lead monthly or quarterly partnership meetings to review and update the partnership matrix, and identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships (e.g., from funding to placement partnerships).
    • Develop and manage a process for collecting and analyzing feedback from students, alumni, and partners to assess partnership effectiveness and inform future decisions.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support seamless integration of partnerships into programs and ensure quality experiences for all stakeholders.
    • Provide mentorship to a cohort of 4–5 students, offering consistent academic and personal support to help them stay on track toward meeting graduation requirements.
    • Support the development of a centralized partnership knowledge base, including contacts, engagement history, and quality ratings for future planning.
    • Participate in a highly collaborative, fluid school culture that requires strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
    • Stay connected and keep current with local and national trends in education, community organizations and youth development opportunities.

    New YouthBuild Coordinator level staff can expect a starting salary of between $46,000 - $60,500 based on years of experience, education, and certifications, if applicable.
