    Description

    The Program Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the Cool Scholars program, which supports high school girls through college and career readiness, leadership development, and life skills education. Additionally, this role oversees the planning and execution of monthly Saturday field trips that offer cultural, recreational, and educational experiences throughout metro Atlanta. This role requires strong program management, youth engagement, and coordination skills.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Lead the design and delivery of the Cool Scholars high school program aligned with organizational goals and youth development best practices.
      • Plan and execute monthly Saturday field trips, including researching venues, coordinating logistics, managing volunteers, and supervising participants during outings.
      • Foster strong relationships with program participants to understand their goals, interests, and challenges.
      • Supervise and support interns and volunteers, including placement, training, and performance oversight.
      • Collaborate with the Program Team to design engaging workshops, events, and initiatives that meet the needs of diverse high school girls.
      • Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance program offerings.
      • Monitor and ensure the successful implementation of programs, maintaining quality standards and supporting desired outcomes.
      • Participate in program-related events, workshops, and outreach efforts.
      • Support the recruitment and retention of program participants and volunteers.

    Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field.
      • Minimum of 2 years of experience in youth program management, preferably with high school students.
      • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
      • Ability to design and lead innovative, culturally responsive programs.
      • Experience managing volunteers or interns in youth-focused settings.
      • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
      • Passion for youth empowerment, education, and community engagement.

    Additional Information

      • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work, especially on Saturdays for field trips and events.
      • Reliable transportation is required for travel to field trip sites and partner schools.
