About the Role:
The Warehouse Worker Resource Center (WWRC) is seeking a Program Coordinator on behalf of the Los Angeles Worker Center Network (LAWCN), a fiscally sponsored project of the WWRC, to lead and manage a dynamic, County-funded initiative focused on protecting low-wage and immigrant workers from labor violations, wage theft, and exploitation. While the Program Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate and implement the DCBA Outreach & Education contract, the position will also play a key role across LAWCN’s broader programmatic priorities, including wage theft enforcement (OWS), network-wide strategy, campaign support, and worker center engagement.
This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven organizer, advocate, or program manager who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and wants to build power for historically marginalized workers across Los Angeles.
Core Responsibilities -
DCBA Contract Execution
Lead implementation of outreach and education deliverables under the DCBA contract.
Coordinate with LAWCN staff, member organizations, and partner groups to meet
program milestones.
Conduct or support outreach to employers and workers in high-risk industries, sharing
“Know Your Rights” materials and conducting educational conversations.
Track data and prepare reports for funders and internal use.
Network Program Support
Support LAWCN staff and member worker centers in coordinating wage theft advocacy,
legal partnerships, and OWS enforcement priorities.
Assist with planning and execution of network-wide campaigns, trainings, and
convenings.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships with labor
agencies, community groups, and legal aid organizations.
Organizational Engagement & Events
Support fieldwork, town halls, and public events advancing LAWCN’s mission and
visibility.
Collaborate on content creation, multilingual materials, and community education tools.
Provide coordination support during emergency rapid response moments (e.g., ICE raids,
wage theft crackdowns).
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years experience in program coordination, community outreach, or worker organizing.
Demonstrated experience working with immigrant or low-wage workers.
Knowledge of California labor law, wage theft, and/or anti-trafficking protections.
Strong project management and communication skills, with attention to deadlines and
detail.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (Tagalog, Korean, Mandarin, and yes,
Klingon, also welcome).
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Access to reliable transportation for field-based activities across Los Angeles County.
