Position Overview
This position is located at Park Headquarters at 102 Fort Mason. Work is performed in an office setting, including a mix of telework and on-site. This position requires at least 3 days per week onsite, either in office (Fort Mason) or visiting our employees on location at our incredible park sites (for example, Alcatraz, Muir Woods, and Crissy Field).
The Membership Manager position is part of the Development and Membership branch that leads our organization-wide fundraising efforts to advance the mission of the Parks Conservancy in supporting the GGNRA. Reporting to the Director of Membership, the Membership Manager is a key contributor to the success of the membership program that currently consists of approximately 9,000 member households giving up to $1,000 annually and the Parks Conservancy’s annual fund. This key contributor will participate in strategic initiatives supporting the organization’s goal to triple the membership program within the next five years.
The Membership Manager is responsible for key member stewardship and benefit fulfillment programs, including managing all aspects of the Member Event and Hiking Series and member event communications. They play a pivotal role in the execution of new member acquisition and annual fund (additional giving) campaigns and appeals supporting the Director of Membership and partnering with internal Marketing and Communications stakeholders and fundraising consultants. A significant aspect of the role is managing the execution of the membership renewal program, in partnership with our consultants. Another key project will be the implementation of a digital membership card program. The Membership Manager provides occasional back-up support on operational aspects of membership including gift entry, customer service, and benefit fulfillment, as needed, in coordination with the Membership Associate.

Physical Requirements and Work Environments
Salary/Grade/Benefits: Salary is $75,000/year (Grade 18). As part of our equitable hiring practices, the Parks Conservancy will hire at the salary posted for the position and will not make an offer above this level.
