    Description

The Immigration Center for Women and Children (ICWC) seeks a Temporary IT Support Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary team in ICWC’s San Francisco office to assist with a Windows 11 update rollout across our two San Francisco office locations. This position will provide hands-on technical support to ensure a smooth and efficient transition for staff during the upgrade period. The temporary, two-week, full-time position will start on Monday, August 25th and the anticipated end date is Friday, September 5th. This on-site project will take place during our regular business hours (M-F, 9am to 5pm). Given the temporary nature of the work, this position will not be eligible for benefits.

ICWC is a non-profit legal organization providing free and affordable immigration services to underrepresented immigrants in California and Nevada. ICWC strives to provide security and stability for children who are abused, abandoned, or neglected and for immigrants who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes. We primarily work with federal immigration laws that allow marginalized immigrants to apply for work authorization and permanent residency. More information about ICWC is available at www.icwclaw.org.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

On-site liaison to work with our remote IT providers to successfully deploy Windows 11 to our San Francisco teams’ desktops and laptops. No experience in the IT industry necessary. We’re looking for those who are fast learners and have facility with software and computers.

    Requirements:

    • Reliability and strong communication skills
    • Ability to closely follow instructions – those who can use an initial IT training for the deployment task to then implement the Windows 11 deployment to the rest of our computers
    • Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced legal office
    • Previous experience in an office setting (desired)

    Schedule:

    • 7.5 or 8 hour shift with 30minute lunch break and two optional 15-minute breaks.
    • Day shift (9 AM – 5:30 PM)
    • Monday to Friday
    • In-person
