    POSITION DESCRIPTION: As a Mental Health Counselor at Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma, you'll provide compassionate, faith-integrated counseling to individuals, couples, and families. This full-time, salaried, and benefited position is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with the moral and ethical teachings of the Catholic faith, making a meaningful impact on the well-being of our community.

    You'll be part of a supportive team dedicated to holistic care, working in a variety of settings, including our main campus, rural helping centers, and local Catholic schools and parishes. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to serving diverse populations, often traveling to different locations to provide services.

    PURPOSE

    To be Christ’s merciful love to those who suffer by providing professional, compassionate counseling services.

    MINISTERIAL

    • As a ministerial representative of CCEOK, both professional and personal conduct must align with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church.

    • Pray daily for the needs of the poor through personal prayer, daily Mass, and/or adoration.

    • Be willing to learn and apply Catholic teaching in your role.

    • Help foster a shared culture of ministry across program operations and management.

    LEADERSHIP

    • Cultivate and maintain collaborative working relationships with campus programs and external providers to offer holistic care and be a mental health resource.
    • Assist Clinical Supervision and mentorship of intern and practicum students.
    • Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams, staff work collaboratively to provide a coordinated effort to enhance and improve client outcomes and quality of care.
    • Provide Monthly reports, statistics, and goal updates.

    JOB DUTIES

    • Conduct intakes, diagnosis, treatment plans, treatment plan updates for clients on case load.
    • Occasional opportunity to facilitate group therapy.
    • Maintain an average of five client appointments per day, accounting for cancellations and no-shows.

    School-Based Counseling

    • Provide individual and family therapy to students in Catholic schools.
    • Offer crisis intervention and classroom support.
    • Consult with parents, teachers, and school administration.
    • Conduct assessments and provide faculty training.

    Healing Program Support

    • Assist with client intake for healing ministries.
    • Effectively manage time and workload to accommodate weekend retreats, with time off provided for rest.
    • Commit to and assist with at least one retreat or program annually.

    COMMUNITY OUTREACH

    • Provide counseling services to clients at our main campus, rural helping centers, and Catholic parishes.
    • Travel to various off-campus sites to provide services.
    • Spend two days a week at various Catholic schools to provide these services
    • Conduct three Mental Health First Aid workshops per year to educate the community.

    QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

    • A Master's degree or better in Counseling Psychology or related field from an accredited school.
      • Must be licensed or under supervision for licensure as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma.
      • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and be able to travel to locations other than primary office.
      • Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy.
      • Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
      • Must demonstrate a clinical family systems orientation and ability to work with diverse populations with multiplicity of problems.
      • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
