    About the Position

    Kesem is seeking a Marketing Coordinator, Operations & Analytics to manage and optimize the organization's digital communications, marketing operations, and data-driven insights. Reporting to the CMO, this role will oversee Kesem’s editorial and communications calendar, email marketing execution, and performance analytics to enhance engagement and drive organizational success.

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and highly organized, with experience in email marketing, digital tools management, and performance marketing analytics. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of marketing communications while enabling the development of analytic-driven insights to inform strategy and execution.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    Communications & Email Marketing (25%)

    • Create and maintain an editorial and communications calendar to ensure alignment across national and chapter campaigns and initiatives.
    • Develop and manage email lists for all departments and chapters, ensuring data integrity and appropriate segmentation capabilities
    • Schedule, test, send, and optimize email communications and automations to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
    • Monitor email performance and conduct A/B testing to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.

    Digital Tools & Content Distribution (35%)

    • Manage and distribute digital tools and assets for Kesem chapters and supporters, ensuring brand consistency, accessibility, and usability.
    • Oversee the organization-wide marketing needs queue, prioritizing and coordinating requests efficiently.
    • Review and approve chapter merchandise to maintain brand standards and compliance.
    • Manage Kesem’s online merchandise store, ensuring an engaging and seamless customer experience.

    Marketing Department Operations (20%)

    • Maintains marketing department’s invoicing, expense tracking, and vendor payments.
    • Administrates printing and mailing of marketing materials (brochures, signage, and other assets).
    • Organizes and archives marketing assets for easy access and consistent use among staff and volunteers.
    • Maintains Kesem profiles in rating platforms (Charity Navigator, Guidestar, Candid, etc) and nonprofit directories.
    • Supports development and execution of creative briefs and project plans.
    • Supports graphic design, photo, and video projects as needed.
    • Performs routine website maintenance and basic updates as needed.

    Analytics & Optimization (20%)

    • Develop marketing metric analytical tracking mechanisms across Paid / Owned / Earned channels that inform executive level KPI dashboards.
    • Monitor, analyze, and report on key marketing metrics across email, social media, and website traffic to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
    • Identify trends and opportunities for improving marketing effectiveness based on performance data.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize digital campaigns and communications strategy.

    Qualifications

    • 2–4 years of experience in marketing operations, digital marketing, email marketing, or project management.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Experience working with digital marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
    • Understanding of marketing automation, audience segmentation, and email performance optimization.
    • Familiarity with customer relationship management tools to manage and track engagement.
    • Experience scheduling, testing, and sending email campaigns to targeted audiences.
    • Ability to maintain and update an editorial and communications calendar to ensure cross-functional alignment.
    • Strong attention to detail in managing email lists, segmentation, and database integrity.
    • Experience tracking and analyzing key marketing metrics (open rates, click-through rates, engagement, conversion).
    • Ability to create reports on email marketing, social media, and website performance.
    • Strong data-driven mindset to suggest optimizations for digital engagement.
    • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, UTM tracking, and A/B testing for campaign performance.
    • Experience managing and distributing marketing assets and tools for internal teams, chapters, and partners.
    • Ability to ensure brand consistency in all digital materials, email templates, and outreach content.
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms like Webflow for website updates is a plus.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Bonfire is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Google Drive suite of products strongly recommended.
    • Ability to manage an internal marketing request queue, prioritizing and coordinating needs across departments. Experience with project management systems like Monday.com, Basecamp, or Hive is a plus.
    • Experience with creative briefs and project planning preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to create and maintain organizational systems.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with fundraising, programming, and leadership teams to align marketing efforts.
    • Experience collaborating with designers, writers, and external vendors to support content creation and execution.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage internal and external communications.
    • Passion for Kesem’s mission and a desire to support marketing efforts that drive impact.

    Additional Information

    • The Marketing Coordinator, Operations & Analytics role is a full-time and remote position, with responsibilities that require at least 40 hours of work per week, with some weeks requiring more.
    • It is expected that the Marketing Coordinator, Operations & Analytics will be available for all staff calls, team meetings, and project meetings.
    • Travel may include staff meetings, national fundraising events and other engagements. On average, the Marketing Coordinator, Operations & Analytics should expect to travel 3-5 times per year, all within the United States.
