    About the Organization:

    Swaniti Initiative is a fourteen-year-old social enterprise that is working at the intersection of climate, governance and last mile delivery. We believe that while the willingness and resources exist, there are fundamental gaps in the execution within communities that is the biggest crisis in the climate movement. Swaniti works with subnational governments to conduct microplanning exercises in consultation with communities and key stakeholders, provides technical assistance to subnational governments toward implementation and supports in monitoring and delivery of programs. A significant focus of our work within climate and governance is on preparing the private sector and communities for energy transition.

    About the Role:

    We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects focused on mining and critical minerals. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of the project—from research through to final execution ensuring project is on schedule and meets all defined objectives.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of mining and critical mineral projects.
    • Develop detailed project plans including scope, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
    • Coordinate and foster collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, and Indigenous communities.
    • Oversee reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparent communication to senior leadership and stakeholders
    • Implement best practices in project management, sustainability, and responsible sourcing of critical minerals.

    Requirements

    Qualifications Required:

    • Masters in Engineering, Mining, Geology, or related field
    • 15- 20 years of experience with experience in working on mining and critical minerals sector (optimally from the private sector)
    • Fluent in critical minerals policies and experience of working in critical minerals companies as government liaison given preference.
    • In depth understanding about technical support including facets of processing, mining etc. for critical minerals important for role.
    • Has worked with state and national government prioritized.
    • Should be open for travel.
    • Good presentation skills (verbal, written, PPT, etc.)
