    Description

We're looking for a seasoned booking producer for The Intercept Briefing, our weekly podcast that dives deep into the stories that matter most with a unique Intercept perspective.

We need someone with an extensive network of contacts who can secure compelling newsmakers, policy experts, journalists, and thought leaders for timely, hard-hitting conversations.

This is a contract position perfect for someone with established relationships across politics, journalism, activism, and policy circles who can move fast to book guests on breaking news and ongoing investigations.

You'll be working with the podcast team to identify and land the voices that can provide unique insights into the week's most important stories. If you have a deep rolodex and can get the "gets," we want to hear from you.

This is a 3-month trial contract at $50-70/hour for about 4-6 hours per week, with potential to become a more regular ongoing gig based on performance and show growth.

Please send your resume and a cover letter that highlights the following:

    • Name 3-5 specific types of sources you have direct relationships with (e.g., Senate staffers, investigative journalists, policy wonks, etc.) - no need to name names, just categories
    • Give us an example of a challenging booking you've secured in the past year
    • How quickly can you typically turn around a booking for breaking news?
    • List the news/political podcasts or shows you've booked for previously.
