    Description

Are you a drone and model airplane pilot with a heart for mentorship? Do you think flight skills shouldn’t be gatekept by private schools and summer camps?

We’re looking for someone who can teach both drone flying and model aircraft piloting to kids—specifically children of incarcerated parents—through a long-term, weekend-based program. The goal? Help these young people develop real technical skills, build confidence, and maybe even dream about futures in aviation, engineering, or just being the coolest kid in their neighborhood.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Teach and supervise both drone and model airplane flight
    • Provide hands-on instruction to kids and teens aiming for expert-level skill
    • Ensure safety procedures and good vibes are followed
    • Encourage, mentor, and make this something the kids look forward to every week

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in both drone and model airplane operation
    • Reliable transportation to Homestead on Saturdays
    • Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor
    • Comfortable working with kids, especially those who benefit from structure and encouragement

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience in youth mentorship, coaching, or education
    • Ability to explain complex concepts in a way that doesn’t bore a twelve-year-old into a coma

This isn’t just a gig—it’s a real opportunity to change how these kids see themselves. Help them take flight. Literally.
