    Description

The American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC) is active in 21 key states and communities across the country, engaging activists, advocates, business leaders, Republican and Democrat lawmakers on the urgency of passing immigration reform that boosts our economy, creates American jobs, eases the labor shortage, and supports families. The goal of our bipartisan coalition of over 1700+ diverse businesses and business associations is to provide a strong and effective voice seeking sensible immigration reforms to grow our economy and strengthen Anmerican families.

ABIC members include CEOs, retired CEOs, business associations, small business owners as well as hospitals and universities. ABIC works in partnership with diverse businesses and advocates to support policies at the state and federal levels. In addition, ABIC organizes committees of business leaders from sectors of the economy that rely on the immigrant workforce such as agriculture, construction, hospitality, and health care. Currently, ABIC is active in 21 states including Illinois, Florida, Texas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, and Nevada.

We are seeking a strategic, narrative-driven Stakeholder Communications Strategy Manager to help drive ABIC’s campaigns and business engagement by amplifying the voices of business leaders across the country in support of our advocacy goals. This role reports directly to ABIC’s Director of Communications working in close collaboration with the field team to amplify powerful voices and translate them into high-impact communications and digital campaigns that influence public opinion, engage target audiences, and advance policy solutions. This role will also support organization-wide communications efforts to ensure message alignment and integrated storytelling across departments.

The ideal candidate is a strong strategist, excellent communicator, and detail-oriented executor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They will help build and manage the systems, timelines, and deliverables that keep and track engagement moving across local, state, and national campaigns.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support targeted storytelling and visibility campaigns—at the state, local, and national levels—that inform, equip, and inspire business leaders to speak out through earned media, digital channels, events, and strategic visibility opportunities.
    • Work closely with the field team to surface timely and relevant business leader stories, and ensure they are strategically aligned with the broader policy narrative and campaign efforts.
    • Support the development and execution of hyperlocal and sector-specific campaigns and events that respond to legislative, media, and industry developments—creating tailored strategies to engage business leaders in specific regions and sectors.
    • Draft clear, action-driving, business-facing content, including outreach emails, social copy, event invitations, messaging toolkits, storytelling prompts, and campaign updates that reflect the organization’s tone and goals.
    • Coordinate campaign-related events and storytelling moments, ensuring business leader participation is strategic, stories are timely, and press or digital engagement is maximized.
    • Support full digital engagement campaigns across platforms—not just email—including social media, marketing tools, and partner networks in collaboration with the digital team.
    • Track and analyze engagement data (email, social, web) to assess performance, refine messaging, and improve campaign impact—ensuring all communications are informed by audience behavior and campaign goals.
    • Maintain processes and systems for story sourcing, outreach timelines, content creation, and campaign delivery—ensuring consistency, speed, and collaboration across teams.
    • Monitor national and state media and policy trends to identify timely opportunities to share business voices in alignment with campaign priorities.

    Engagement & Relationship Strategy:

    • Support and sustain engagement with business members through consistent communications, strategic outreach, and storytelling opportunities that build trust and deepen involvement over time.
    • Support media engagement in local and national events, fly-ins, summits, and press activations—ensuring their contributions are aligned with messaging goals and campaign visibility.
    • Help onboard new business stakeholders by introducing communications opportunities and setting expectations around public engagement and storytelling.

    Coordination & Execution:

Collaborate with the communications team to:

    • Create and manage communications materials for business audiences, including sector-specific messaging, outreach emails, campaign assets, and content calendars.
    • Ensure messaging alignment across platforms and teams, working in collaboration with the Director of Communications, digital, and field staff to deliver consistent, strategic narratives.
    • Build and maintain internal systems and processes to keep stakeholder communications organized, timely, and integrated into the broader communications strategy.
    • Support internal communications needs to ensure content alignment across staff.

    Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • 5–10 years of experience in communications, public affairs, digital campaigns, or advocacy—public policy or organizing background preferred but not required.
    • Strong writing and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate lived experience and business perspectives into persuasive, media-ready content.
    • Experience supporting narrative campaigns and collaborating across internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
    • A deep understanding of digital communications strategies—including email, social media, and marketing—and comfort using engagement analytics to inform campaign decisions.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a strong ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and deliverables with precision.
    • A proactive, process-driven mindset and the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and maintain momentum across multiple campaigns and teams.
