    About Us:

    Ability Dogs of Arizona empowers individuals with disabilities through service dog training, community programming, and inclusive support. We’re growing fast and looking for a Program Manager in Tucson who brings warmth, focus, and a problem-solving, people-first mindset to our work.

    About the Role:

    This role is at the heart of our organization’s daily rhythm. The Program Manager is responsible for managing communications, scheduling, program logistics, and facility coordination across both our service dog and pet dog training programs. You’ll be the first point of contact for many people walking through our doors—families, volunteers, community partners—and we need someone who thrives on building relationships and creating clarity for others.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage communication for our Assistance Dog program (internal and external)
    • Track certification and recertification paperwork for service and facility dog teams
    • Oversee pet class scheduling, communication, site logistics, and data entry
    • Maintain clean, accurate program data and CRM records
    • Coordinate routine office maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the facility is clean, comfortable, and functional
    • Manage intern onboarding and oversight
    • Track and process volunteer paperwork
    • Maintain website content for program areas

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Deeply empathetic and people-focused—you build trust quickly and enjoy helping others navigate systems
    • Experienced in handling complex or sensitive conversations with maturity and care
    • Exceptionally organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
    • Energized by fast-paced, collaborative environments
    • Flexible and solutions-oriented—you’re ready to make things work, even when they’re messy
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Comfort with technology and databases (Salesforce or similar CRM preferred)

    Preferred but Not Required:

    • Experience in the disability services sector
    • Familiarity with assistance dogs or animal-related programs
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

    Schedule and Work Environment:

    This position is based in Tucson and requires regular in-person presence due to its responsibilities. There is room for limited situational flexibility to work from home when appropriate, but this is not a remote or hybrid role.

    Compensation:

    Annual salary is $50,000. Benefits include Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, PTO, paid holidays, and a collaborative, mission-driven work culture.
