    Description

    Join FRA, a respected Monmouth County non-profit, as the NJ Certified Special Education Teacher for Project SEARCH—This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing a cohort of 8 individuals with developmental disabilities participating in a 10-month internship program. During this time, the adults have three internships at Monmouth Medical Center, gaining valuable workplace experience and job skills. You will guide them, along with MMC department supervisors, through immersive work experiences, helping interns develop transferable job skills they need to launch successful careers.

    Who You Are:

      • Certified NJ Special Education teacher
      • Passionate about teaching young adults with developmental disabilities
      • Skilled in teaching employment readiness soft skills and transferable job skills
      • Creative, flexible, team-oriented, and ready to make a difference

    What You’ll Do:

      • Deliver engaging classroom instruction & workplace coaching
      • Implement lessons using a provided curriculum
      • Collaborate with hospital mentors, job coaches, vocational partners & parents
      • Track intern progress and support their success on-site daily
      • Promote inclusive, empowering learning experiences
