The Service Employees International Union Local 925 (SEIU 925) is 19,000 working people united to improve our jobs and our communities. We are education workers and public sector workers across Washington state. We are childcare providers, K-12 classified staff, higher education workers, adjunct professors, public defenders and county employees.
Applicants should have a passion for building power with workers, organizing, and the mission of SEIU Local 925. This position will be based in our Seattle office, as part of a Statewide campaign with regular travel. This is a full-time position working with a diverse membership based out of Seattle. A driver’s license and a car are required.
About the position:
SEIU Local 925 is looking for a strategic and collaborative Internal Organizer who will work with existing union members on workplace fights, bargaining campaigns, and other power building. Our country has been in a period of sustained attack on working families. We are looking for someone who is creative, dedicated to organizing, and unafraid to take risks and try new tactics and organizing styles. Organizer positions will be based out of the Seattle office. Please note that this is a salaried position, and hours vary according to campaign needs.

Salary and benefits are set by collective bargaining agreement. Starting pay depends on experience, with a range of $71,036 - $107,497/year. Benefits include fully employer-paid family health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, a generous leave package, car allowance, and other benefits outlined in the policies of the SEIU Local 925/PNWSU union contract.
