    The nature of this job asks the ideal candidate to be comfortable with internal collaboration, meeting deadlines, taking on leading and developmental roles when strategizing marketing campaigns, leading EPIC’s national marketing expansion and communicating consistently with the EAD and DOO as well as with our constituencies and audiences.

    Hour expectations: 40 hours a week

    Reports to: Executive Artistic Director and Director of Programs Operations

    Responsibilities:

    Job Requirements/Tasks:

    • Work closely with the EAD (Executive Artistic Director) and DOO (Director of Operations)to develop strategies to increase local and national awareness of EPIC Players and our mission as we near our 10th year anniversary as well as expand our overall media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube), and grow our audience and company member base.
    • Help establish cohesion in EPIC’s mission, voice and style guide both internally- and externally-facing
    • Oversee/Coordinate design and dissemination of all Mailchimp communications, as well as brand-focused design of collateral, including hand-outs, direct mail, promotions, advertising, website, mobile design and content.
    • Assist in the development of long-term, short-term, institutional, and project-based publicity and advertising campaigns for artistic programming, fundraising projects, public events, and mission/brand items as appropriate.
    • Draft all advertising/promotional copy and share with department heads for approval. Evaluate the effectiveness of said campaigns via metrics and data, shared with EAD and DOO.
    • Work closely with DOO to plan all social media content and marketing so it is mission-centered, consistent, easily accessible, and far-reaching capable. Oversee social media implementation.
    • Be available for weekly check-ins with EAD and DOO to better understand programming needs as they develop and discuss marketing growth and plan specifics, benchmarks, detours (necessary or otherwise), etc.
    • Work with EAD and DOO to develop a master marketing calendar for transparency and reference among staff as to daily, weekly, monthly, yearly promotional measures taking place.
    • Interact intermittently with our constituency—interviews, taking photos and videos for social media, etc.; training available to those unfamiliar with working with neuro-diverse communities.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years experience in non-profits arts marketing, social media management, arts administration, or business administration
    • Experience in the NYC and or theatre industry market a plus
    • Adaptability and flexibility a plus; skills needed to better serve our community can be trained
    • Fluency in databases, web, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
    • Requisite writing and editing skills
    • This position will be hybrid between WFH, our offices and EPIC events and productions
