    Description

We are looking for a Communications & Design Coordinator who can create high-quality, visually striking materials and quickly support our communications lead with execution. If you’re a fast and excellent Canva user who loves turning ideas into beautiful, shareable assets, this is the role for you.

Sound Future is a fast-paced, high-integrity nonprofit on a mission to accelerate sustainable solutions in the music industry and beyond. Our flagship Surf and Turf Restoration Project partners with artists, tours, venues, and festivals to restore land and ocean ecosystems through scalable, measurable initiatives.

    Role Overview

You will collaborate closely with our Content Lead to bring Sound Future’s mission to life through one-pagers, impact reports, slide decks, and social posts. This is a highly tactical, hands-on role for someone who can work quickly, stay organized, and keep communications consistent and on-brand.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design & Production: Create polished, on-brand materials including one-pagers, pitch decks, impact reports, event flyers, and social graphics (primarily in Canva).
    • Content Execution: Post approved content to social media platforms, newsletters, and our website.
    • Template Management: Maintain and update Canva templates so the team can work efficiently.
    • Brand Consistency: Ensure all materials align with Sound Future’s visual identity and messaging.
    • Collaboration: Work with the Content Lead to translate ideas and data into compelling visuals quickly and accurately.
    • Quick Turnaround: Deliver assets on deadline, often with fast turnaround times.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: 2+ years in graphic design, communications, or marketing (nonprofit or mission-driven work a plus).
    • Skills:
    • Advanced Canva skills (able to work quickly and creatively).
    • Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
    • Basic copyediting skills and ability to format text for clarity.
    • Familiar with posting content to social media and/or email platforms.

    Mindset:

    • Thrives in a nimble, fast-moving environment.
    • Flexible and solutions-oriented — gets things done even with shifting priorities.
    • Detail-oriented but efficient — knows when good enough is good enough.
