Our team of clinicians, staff and volunteers deliver programs focused on alleviating hunger, providing mental health counseling, preventing homelessness, and bringing joy to children. Interfaith’s food pantry is one of the largest in Greater Boston, distributing 100,000+ bags of groceries and essential hygiene products to local residents in need every year. www.InterfaithSocialServices.org.
Each week 160+ volunteers fulfill reoccurring weekly assignments throughout Interfaith’s various programs. Each year 600+ corporate and community volunteers fulfill one day volunteer assignments serving Interfaith’s clients.
Position Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator is a dynamic and multifaceted role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of Interfaith Social Services while simultaneously cultivating and managing a robust volunteer program. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for community service, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, clients and donors.
The Coordinator will spend the majority of their time supervising Interfaith’s volunteer program and a portion of their week will be spent overseeing the operational needs of the organization.
