    Description

    The Canopy Child Advocacy Center supports children and families affected by abuse through a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach involving hospitals, courts, law enforcement, mental health providers, and other partners in Cuyahoga County. Canopy is hiring a strategic and mission-driven Director of Development to lead fundraising across individual, corporate, foundation, and government sectors. This role collaborates with the Executive Director to grow donor engagement and oversees special events that elevate Canopy’s visibility and impact. The Director manages donor records, fundraising projections, and financial reporting, ensuring strong stewardship and accurate analysis. As a public ambassador, the Director builds relationships with community leaders and media, while also managing social media and website content to support outreach and advocacy. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years of nonprofit development experience, with a salary range of $75,000–$90,000; applications may be sent to info@canopycac.org.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with four to six years nonprofit development experience and/or training. Master’s Degree and/or CFRE a plus. Knowledge of donor database systems is strongly preferred. Passion for Canopy’s mission and the ability to work enthusiastically as part of a leadership team within the organization is required as is a strong commitment to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.
