    Description

    The New York Philharmonic connects with millions of music lovers each season through live concerts in New York and around the world, as well as broadcasts, recordings, and education programs. After returning to a transformed David Geffen Hall in 2022, the Orchestra is acting on a renewed commitment to building on a legacy of more than 180 years, serving as a platform for today’s greatest musical artists and connecting with our communities. Gustavo Dudamel will become the Philharmonic’s Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Music and Artistic Director in the 2026–27 season.

    The New York Philharmonic seeks a talented and versatile Production Designer to join the Marketing department in developing digital and print materials for the organization. Working alongside other designers and members of the Marketing department, the Production Designer will assist in the execution, refinement, and evolution of the New York Philharmonic’s visual identity through multiple channels and oversee various design projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to work cooperatively with other designers, liaise with various cross-functional teams, and execute the best art production processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for executing the design and development of organizational collateral including print advertisements, OOH signage, brochures, direct mailers, e-mails, digital advertising, web content, social media content, animations, and more.
    • Develop a deep understanding of New York Philharmonic’s visual identity and ensure compliance with brand guidelines across all materials.
    • Ability to work closely with internal teams, third party creative agencies, commercial printers, and vendors.
    • Help establish and execute efficient workflows for design and production and ensure timely delivery of projects.
    • Oversee the production and preparation of final materials to meet standards and ensure accurate file formats. Prepare and collect files for final output to commercial printers and digital partners. Proof and perform quality control for all assets.
    • A commitment to contributing to an inclusive working environment is required.
    • Miscellaneous duties as required.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of production experience working in print and digital formats
    • Proven track record of creating high end, sophisticated design solutions across multiple channels
    • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office required
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and track details of multiple projects without compromising quality
    • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail is essential
    • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and collaborative attitude.
