Resource Generation (RG) is recruiting for a temporary Organizing Support employee for both the New England and Midwest regions.
The ideal candidate is a community organizer with some knowledge or familiarity with Resource Generation, either as a current member, former member, community member, or former staff person who is aligned with RG’s values, mission, and vision, and possesses skills in relationship building, communication, and organizing.
Resource Generation is a national nonprofit organization that mobilizes young people (ages 18-35) with wealth and class privilege in the U.S. to become transformative leaders working towards equitable wealth, land, and power. The broader Resource Generation community includes people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds who support young people in understanding the role of wealth in social change. RG has a 20-person staff team and 18 chapters in cities across the U.S. Our chapters engage in base-building, political education programming, running giving circles, participating in local and national campaigns, and fostering local organizational relationships.

Location: The candidate must be based in the U.S. and reside in OR, WA, CA, WI, NY, MI, MN, NC, MA, MD, LA, GA, OH, DC
Compensation includes $52-$60 per hour, starting with 6 hours of paid sick leave per month, plus an additional 6 hours of paid sick leave, and a reimbursable work-from-home stipend of up to $150 per month. No additional benefits available.
Role responsibilities and Scope of Work:
This position will require up to 20 hours per week and is expected to be needed for 3 to 6 months.
- Build and maintain a relationship with local chapters in the region.Attend local chapter member and local member leader meetings virtually (in-person if accessible)
- Connect with chapter leaders 1-1
- Communicate with local chapters about national events and initiatives
- Support chapters with administrative needs (EveryAction database questions, supporting chapters to use their chapter budgets, etc.)
- Attend Chapter Organizing Team meetings as needed.
