    Description

    STEAC seeks an experienced fundraiser to join our small non-profit staff in Davis, CA. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual seasoned in multiple types of fundraising including major donor cultivation, business sponsorships, direct mailing, and events. This individual will help lead a collaborative team including the executive director, communications and grant writing staff, and volunteers to conduct and grow STEAC's fundraising efforts. We are seeking an excellent communicator and storyteller, adept at crafting messages for different constituencies. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter who is eager to meet new people and to represent STEAC at community events.

    Responsibilities To Include:

    • Manage current fundraising operations including direct donation mailings, online fundraisers, sponsorship drives, and donor appreciation/acknowledgment activities.
    • Manage STEAC donor database to ensure optimal use to support fundraising efforts.
    • Conduct donor/prospect research and “set the table” for efforts by Board and ED to cultivate large donors.
    • Get out in the community and enthusiastically tell STEAC’s story AND work to educate the people already connected to STEAC about our current needs.
    • Create “pitches/stories” for communications and leadership to amplify STEAC’s message.

    Qualifications:

    • Fundraising experience in nonprofit setting.
    • Project management experience, especially experience organizing volunteers and events.
    • Familiarity and comfort with donor database, Little Green Light, or other CRM (Client Relationship Management) database.
    • Excellent communications skills and experience storytelling for impact and fundraising
    • Excellent personal skills in donor engagement
    • Completed college degree or commensurate experience.
    • Comfortable using office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and online applications.
    • Patience and compassion in working with volunteers and clients.
