Our Vision: A generation of fearless, compassionate problem solvers.

Description: Project Invent is a national nonprofit empowering middle and high school students across the country to invent technologies for social impact. We train educators in design thinking, engineering, and entrepreneurship to lead students through identifying real problems in their communities and inventing impactful solutions. At the end of the year, students pitch their inventions to tech and business leaders at our Demo Day events. Since 2018, we've grown from one to 70 schools across the country, with 70% of our Fellows teaching in low-income serving schools.

As our Senior Manager of Education Solutions, you will be responsible for working with decision-makers at the school and district levels to sign, renew, and expand program contracts. This is a sales-focused position that will pursue paid opportunities with school and district administrations, superintendents, and senior-level managers at Out of School Time (OST) providers.

Duties include, but are not limited to…

    • Ownership of org-wide earned revenue goals, measured in dollar figures and community impact.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key school and district decision-makers.
    • Develop and maintain opportunity pipelines to meet sales targets.
    • Coordinate with the Project Invent team to ensure seamless execution of contracts.
    • Execute teacher recruitment plans for partners to generate demand for services and enroll educators in training.
    • Provide outstanding communication to partners, including progress updates, responding to needs, and collecting feedback on services and impact.
    • Meet regularly with school and district leaders to build an understanding of and investment in our work.
    • Review and present qualitative and quantitative data to school and district partners to evaluate the impact of the Project Invent on educators.
    • Collect and share qualitative and quantitative data from partners to the Project Invent team to improve processes and partner support.
    • Collaborate with the Project Invent team to evaluate partner progress and propose scopes of work that best meet partner needs, drive impact, and generate earned revenue through contract renewal.
    • Manage the contract renewal process from the proposal of a scope of work through contract closing.
    • Maintain a renewal pipeline aligned to revenue targets and progress toward goals.
    • Leveraging relationships to expand to new schools and districts within the communities we serve.

    What we're looking for…

    • Experience working with district or CMO-level leadership
    • Comfort creating and delivering presentations to new and existing partners
    • Strong public speaking, writing, and communication skills
    • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to build and deliver compelling presentations
    • Comfort working independently and in a start-up environment
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions
    • Passion for solving challenging problems
    • Outstanding relationship-building skills
    • Structured and organized thinking, driven to develop and refine scalable systems
    • Committed to empowering students to be creative, resilient, empathetic problem solvers.
    • Passionate about innovative education.
    • A go-getter, ideas person, and executor.
    • Excited about designing meaningful learning experiences for students.
    • Experience with planning large-scale events, both in-person and virtual.
    • Ability to develop event success metrics and use data to improve events.
    • Experience with CRM software (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.) is a plus.
