    Founded in 2019, Inspiring Minds uses a collective impact approach to building community by providing culturally-responsive programs and experiences for Black and Brown youth. We do this work in partnership with multiple partners and stakeholders from within the community to provide health and wellness, civic engagement, and cultural identity programs, including paid internships and leadership opportunities. Inspiring Minds NYC believes that culturally-responsive programs reflect the identities of the youth we serve, brings together the communities in which they live, connects us to our histories, and activates young people to take on the responsibility of dismantling the systems and obstacles that stand in their way.

    Role Description

    The Program Facilitator is a part-time on-site role located at schools and/or community spaces in New York City. As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for facilitating youth development programs, providing feedback and input on curriculum, managing program materials/equipment, and tracking program attendance. This includes maintaining timely and consistent communication with staff, program participants, families, and partnering organizations. We are seeking facilitators specifically for our cultural identity, health & wellness, and arts-based programs.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or other field related to adolescent development
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with youth, families, and partnering organizations
    • Experience in facilitating youth programs and/or developing and implementing programs and/or curricula for adolescents
    • Experience in working with populations that are diverse in their race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, gender, cognition, ability, economic and immigration status
    • Knowledge of youth development principles, culturally-responsive practices, and/or trauma-informed care
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Fluency in non-English languages commonly used in NYC (Spanish, Haitian-Creole, French) is a plus
    • Compensation: $150-$200 per session
