Our mission is to develop and amplify innovative solutions to education challenges, focusing on young children in the pre-primary and primary school years.

    About the Role

    CE International is seeking a contractor to support the design and delivery of online professional learning programs teachers and education leaders of young children, particularly in pre-primary and primary education. This role is central to our work supporting educators globally, especially those working in low-resourced and crisis-affected contexts. Preferred location of contractor in the Washington DC area, but can also be remote. The contractor type will be a contract position, part-time or project-based. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

    The contractor will contribute to the rapid design and development of high-quality, evidence-based, contextually responsive content, drawing on effective teaching and learning practices. This is a collaborative, flexible, and mission-driven opportunity well suited for an educator with international experience and strong digital skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Co-develop online professional learning experiences for teachers and education leaders, including trainings and workshops on innovative teaching and leadership strategies.

    The following are examples of topics: play- and inquiry-based learning, blended learning, low-tech instruction, inclusive education, differentiated instruction, trauma-informed and culturally responsive pedagogy, mindfulness and well-being practices, systems leadership, and compassionate leadership.

    • Collaborate with CE International staff to ensure alignment with quality learning event standards, holistic learning frameworks, and global education priority areas.
    • Revise and prepare existing courses for re-release.
    • Support live and asynchronous virtual sessions through technical setup and facilitation.
    • Adapt content for educators working in fragile, displaced, or migratory contexts.
    • Use tools like Zoom, Google Workplace, and LMS platforms.
    • Sustain and monitor participant engagement and gather feedback.
    • Participate in product development meetings and iterate rapidly on training design and delivery.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in global education or international development, early childhood and primary education with knowledge that spans across a broad range of teaching and leadership topics.
    • Background in learner-centered and inclusive education practices.
    • Familiarity with displacement, migration, displacement, and emergency education
    • Skilled in rapid product development and user-centered design
    • Proficient in virtual collaboration tools
    • Strong communication and organization skills in remote work settings.
    • English fluency required; additional languages a plus.

    This is a contract-based position with flexible hours depending on project needs.
