    Agency Overview

In a time of deep division and doubt, Dream.Org is proving that progress is still possible. We bring people together across political, racial, and economic lines to pass groundbreaking legislation, open doors of opportunity, and build a future where freedom and dignity belong to everyone. We operate across three powerful fronts:

    • Justice – Ending mass incarceration and investing in safer communities
    • Green – Building a diverse, inclusive clean economy that works for people and the planet
    • Tech – Expanding access to innovation and opportunity in the tech sector

We don’t just believe in democracy—we practice it, protect it, and prove that it still works.

    The Opportunity

Dream.Org is seeking a visionary and driven Vice President Growth & Revenue to lead our fundraising strategy and expand the resources needed to fuel real, systemic change. This is a high-impact role for a dynamic leader who brings deep experience with transformational philanthropy, cross-sector partnerships, and innovative revenue models including corporate sponsorships and earned income.

The VP of Growth & Revenue will serve as a core member of our executive and leadership teams, playing a central role in shaping our strategic direction. You’ll serve as the architect of a future-facing funding model that will stabilize and expand Dream.Org’s revenue base across philanthropic, corporate, and mission-aligned business channels. You’ll work closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and executive colleagues to grow a high-performance fundraising team and infrastructure, helping to unlock new partnerships, scale impact, and drive results. You’re not just a fundraiser—you’re a builder, a hustler, a strategist, and a believer in justice at scale.

    Key Responsibilities

    Development Vision, Strategy and Innovation

    • Cultivate a bold vision for our fundraising future, rooted in innovation and aligned with Dream.Org’s mission and values.
    • Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive development strategy focused on revenue growth, diversification, and sustainability.
    • Lead comprehensive revenue planning, forecasting, and performance tracking in partnership with the Senior Director of Development, setting clear goals and metrics across all development functions.
    • Identify, evaluate, and grow new mission-aligned revenue streams—such as consulting, curriculum licensing, training, or media content—based on feasibility, impact, and ROI.
    • Anticipate and manage fundraising risks like donor concentration, pipeline gaps, and team transitions to protect revenue, data integrity, and organizational resilience.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across the team, encouraging bold ideas that align with our mission, brand, and capacity.

    High-Value Fundraising & Relationship Management

    • Proactively grow and manage a portfolio of major funders—including foundations, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals—by leveraging your network, opening new doors, and securing transformational gifts across sectors and ideologies.
    • Represent Dream.Org externally with credibility, authenticity, and vision—whether at a boardroom table, a philanthropic conference, or a one-on-one pitch.
    • Partner with our CEO and board on high-level cultivation strategies and major gift opportunities.
    • Your Fundraising portfolio includes:
      • Major Gifts
      • Manage the existing major donor portfolio, pipeline and prospects and build meaningful, values-driven relationships with donors and investors leading to six and seven-figure gifts and multi-year partnerships.
      • Foundation and Institutional Partnerships
      • Lead efforts to expand our foundation and institutional funding, with a focus on justice-aligned sectors. Manage the development team to ensure strong stewardship, proposal strategy, and alignment with programmatic outcomes.
      • Digital Fundraising & Public Engagement
      • Work across the communications, advocacy and engagement teams to turn digital engagement into sustained fundraising success through data-driven campaigns and donor conversion strategies. Align digital fundraising with major donor pipelines and brand-building efforts for broader reach and long-term impact.
      • Corporate & Brand Partnerships
      • Develop and grow meaningful partnerships with mission-aligned businesses through sponsorships, campaigns, and cross-sector collaborations. Use these relationships to expand Dream.Org’s visibility, credibility, and impact in the corporate and consumer space.

    Team Development & Infrastructure

    • Inspire, lead, and support a growing development team responsible for grants, systems, and fundraising operations. The team handles proposals, reporting, and donor administration so you can stay focused on relationships and growth.
    • Support the Senior Director of Development in the implementation & use of Salesforce, ActionKit, Fundraise Up, and Asana to drive campaign execution, prospect tracking, and performance analytics.
    • Partner with the CEO and Board to strengthen their role in fundraising—equipping members as ambassadors, connectors, and co-investors in our mission.
    • Help identify and recruit new Board members with fundraising or strategic partnership experience, while serving as a trusted advisor to both the CEO and Board.
    • Champion a culture of philanthropy rooted in servant leadership, solution, and soul—fostering alignment across departments and empowering staff and board to see themselves as active partners in fundraising success.

    Who You Are

    • A senior revenue leader with 10+ years of experience in fundraising, business development, or social enterprise—ideally in an advocacy or systems-change organization. CFRE certification or similar credential.
    • A strategic operator with a track record of building and executing successful revenue growth plans.
    • Well-connected in the philanthropic world with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts from large U.S. foundations and high-net-worth individuals.
    • An authentic relationship-builder who can engage major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic leaders with clarity, heart, and vision.
    • A strategic hustler—entrepreneurial, creative, and undeterred by “no.” You see roadblocks as opportunities to innovate.
    • A manager of high-performing teams, able to develop talent, align systems, and foster a shared culture of excellence.
    • A cross-functional collaborator who understands how revenue, programs, communications, and finance must align to support scale.
    • Expertise in social justice with a commitment to Dream.Org’s values and excitement for being a part of a fast-moving organization shaping the future of American democracy. Lived experience or deep personal connection to issues of incarceration, climate justice, or economic equity.
