    Jubilee Women’s Center opened in the fall of 1983 and is believed to be Seattle’s first transitional home for women. Jubilee helps women experiencing poverty to build stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time.     Position Purpose

    The part-time Bookkeeper supports Jubilee’s Finance Director and Development Director by handling finance- and development-related data entry, data management, reporting, and related administrative tasks. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a small, mission-driven team based at Jubilee’s home office on Capitol Hill.

    Part time, non-exempt (base salary): 20 – 28 hours per week (50% FTE)

    Base hourly pay range: $25 – 33 per hour

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    Bookkeeping

    • Accounts payable: Process, code, and enter vendor invoices into QuickBooks for payment. Produce and code monthly credit card expense reports with receipts.
    • Accounts receivable: Process, code, and submit check deposits 1-2 times weekly.
    • Bank account: Monitor agency checking account daily, making entries when necessary.
    • Purchasing: Act as the agency's purchasing department, managing all office, facilities, and program supply purchases, recommending cost-saving measures where possible. Manage the organization’s program and office supply inventory, including procurement, tracking, and distribution of supplies.
    • Finance administration: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing and document management. Assist with audit requests as needed and maintain the fixed asset inventory.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Development Data Management

    • Process charitable contributions and donor gift acknowledgments in the Raiser’s Edge database and disseminate information to Development and Finance staff.
    • Clean, validate, and analyze donor and gift data in Raiser’s Edge to generate regular reports, metrics, and key performance indicators with a high level of accuracy.
    • Reconcile giving information with finance information every month.
    • Collaborate with the Development team to provide accurate data for grant proposals, reports, and development requirements.
    • Serve as point person for queries, reports, bulk data entries, list management for mailings and major events, and import and export of data.
    • Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the database.
    • Provide other development department support as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Administrative Duties

    • Support general operations of the Jubilee offices, including sharing responsibilities like opening and closing the office, managing the daily flow of donations, and other administrative tasks.
    • When available, answer the office’s front door professionally and distribute donations to appropriate staff/locations.
    • Participate in weekly staff meetings.
    • Coordinate with others on cross-functional projects, ensuring effective communication and cooperation among teams.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Proven experience in bookkeeping, data entry, or data management, or a related field, two years minimum required.
    • Proficiency with accounting and/or relationship management software such as QuickBooks financial software and/or Raiser’s Edge fundraising database, desired.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance, desired.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proficiency in data management systems, database administration, and data analysis tools.
    • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
    • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables and using formulas.
    • Ability to work well under pressure; handle multiple time-sensitive tasks; strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including interacting with Jubilee residents.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of nonprofit operations and familiarity with issues related to poverty and homelessness a plus.
    • Sensitivity toward cultural, racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and sexual identity diversity, as well as physical/mental health abilities.
    • Willing to embrace the mission and goals of Jubilee Women's Center.
    • Ability to lift and maneuver a maximum of 30 lbs.
